Ecological shopping

While I was surfing on the internet for some ideas, I stumbled upon a webshop called  Kudzu(www.Kudzu.be).  Kudzu is a Belgian webshop and it offers only ecological products made of natural, recycled or recyclable material. It’s a really nice web shop and you can find really cool and useful stuff on it. Among others, they have products for babies, kitchen supplies, caring products, accessories, stuff for school and office supplies, etc.  In this little entry I will describe 4 of them:

Lego Earrings

This might be something for the boys: if you want to give a present  to your girlfriend but you don’t have the money to buy something, why wouldn’t you be creative and original by making a pair of earrings from old recycled (Lego) figurines yourself?  And should you be too clumsy around hobby tools, you can always buy them in the webshop for 9 €.






A calendar that you can plant in soil

Each page of this calendar contains several seeds of wild flowers. Each time a month has passed, you can rip of the paper and bury it in soil, so that it may recycle itself into beautiful flowers.

After a while you can enjoy the wide variety of flowers growing in your garden. Isn’t that ecological and original?!

A car tire mouse mat / notebook

This is something I personally really like! On the first picture you can see a mouse mat and on the second picture you see a small note book. Both products from the brand Remarkable are made of recycled car tires. This company  always tries to find a solution for reusing as much waste as possible. Using these old tyres they’re trying to create new innovative products. Isn’t that remarkable?

A windup pocket torch

This is a really great little windup pocket torch. I don’t know if you’re familiar with the following problem, but every time when I need a pocket torch the batteries are exhausted. Well, with this invention that annoying problem is no more!  Although this pocket torch has two batteries,  it can also be recharged by rotating the handle. If you rotate this handle for 1 minute you have 90 minutes of light in the energy saving mode or 30 minutes in the high output! What a great invention, don’t you think?
