I think all MTB-students know the feeling: we don’t do sports enough, because we simply don’t have time for it. After a long a tiring day, doing intensive exercises isn’t exactly the first thing on our minds. But I think I might have found the perfect solution, preventing us of becoming couch potatoes.
I present to you the Gymbot Personal Trainer, created by Massimo Battaglia.
This Robot would constantly hound us to do push-ups, to go for a jog or just to be physically active in general.
Additionally, the Gymbot would be able demonstrate all the exercises, so to make certain that we’d execute our training exercises correctly. Using of an interactive touch screen the users could choose which exercises to do and what body parts to train.
This robot would be equipped with 3D and thermal cameras behind the lens so that it can keep an eye on us at all times. It’d also have a directional microphone that monitors our heart rate to ensure we're not over-worked.
On top of that, the Gymbot would even be able to calculate our body fat index.
So what are your thoughts about having a personal robotic trainer? Would you be more motivated to exercise if you had a Gymbot running around the house? Share your thoughts by dropping a line in the comments section below
