Lay back and enjoy the sun

Finally the sun has found her way back to Belgium! Time to sit in the garden and sip from a cocktail sitting in a lounge chair. Unfortunately there's still chores to be done even when the sun a shining. For example, e have to take care of our garden and we have to cut the lawn.
As you might all know, a conventional mower isn’t exactly very ecological. Luckily the company Husqvarna invented the Automower® Solar Hybrid.

Now what is this Solar Hybrid? It is the first fully automatic lawn mower that is partly powered by the sun! As they say on the website this mower is “brilliant for your lawn, great for your conscience and better for the planet”.


Apart from the normal charging station, this mower has a large integrated solar panel. Using this panel, it uses considerably less energy than any other conventional non-solar powered mower.
As long as there's daylight available, the solar cells provide enough power for the mower to significantly extend its cutting time before it needs recharging. That means that cutting your lawn will take less time and take less energy. A mower of this type can easily cut half an acre in decent light conditions.

Possibly more importantly, you don’t have to do anything! While the mower is cutting the lawn, you can lay back and enjoy simply the sun. The automatic Solar Hybrid will do all the work for you!
