Full Circle Kitchen
Two weeks ago, Karen
talked about the Delicious Wave and
the Dishwasher L concept, two appliances
that can make our kitchens more eco-friendly. I wanted to help Karen to make
her dream kitchen even more “green”. Take a look at the Parasite Farm.
The Parasite Farm,
designed by Charlotte Dieckmann and Nils Ferber, is an indoor gardening system
that allows you to have your own little garden in your kitchen while composting
waste into fertile soil. The system consists of several planter beds and a
compost bin with a chopping board lid that can be attached to any kitchen
surface. You just chop your vegetables and fruit on the chopping board and then
you slide the green waste in the compost bin, where the waste is naturally
transformed into fertilizer. This fertilizer can then be used to grow healthy
veggies and herbs in your own kitchen. This system allows you to use your “green
fingers” in the city when you don’t have a balcony or a garden. For those who
know Oprah, she’s always talking about “a full circle moment”. Well, I call
this the “full circle kitchen”!
An amazing
idea! But the name “Parasite Farm” is a little off-putting, don’t you think? Can
you guys come up with a better name to make this concept more appealing?
